Algae covered brick and tire mark driveway in Fort Walton,FL.

Algae covered brick and tire mark driveway in Fort Walton,FL.

We traveled to Fort Walton, FL to help a homeowner who needed a full exterior cleaning. The job included soft washing the house and roof, treating thick algae on the brick that wraps the home, and deep cleaning the sidewalk and driveway. Our team from Bubbles Softwash arrived prepared to handle all three surfaces safely and efficiently.

The first part of the project was a soft wash of the house and roof. Soft washing is a low-pressure cleaning method that removes algae, dirt, and other buildup without risking damage to shingles or siding. We worked methodically across each exterior surface to make sure the cleaning solution reached all affected areas while rinsing thoroughly afterward.

The brick around the home had a heavy coating of algae. We treated those areas as part of the overall soft wash, taking care to apply the right cleaning technique so the algae could be lifted from the porous brick without scraping or damaging the mortar. Addressing the brick required patience so the solution could penetrate and break up the thick growth before rinsing.

Next, we focused on the sidewalk and driveway. Both surfaces were covered in heavy, black tire marks that standard rinsing would not remove. For these areas we used our commercial surface cleaner, a machine designed for flatwork. The cleaner allows us to agitate and lift stubborn marks while keeping cleaning solution contained and rinse water managed.

Our crew worked in sections on the driveway and sidewalk to make sure the commercial surface cleaner covered every square foot where tire marks were present. Because these marks were concentrated and dark, the cleaning required multiple passes in some spots to fully treat the surface. We paid attention to the transitions between the concrete and the brick landscape so runoff was controlled and neighboring surfaces were not affected.

Throughout the job we kept safety and care as priorities. Soft washing the roof and walls reduces the chance of damage that a high-pressure wash could cause, and the commercial surface cleaner keeps concrete cleaning efficient and consistent. We also ensured the work area was left tidy so the homeowner could use the driveway and walkways as soon as the surfaces dried.

Bubbles Softwash completed the project by treating the house, roof, brick, sidewalk, and driveway according to the conditions described. If you have similar algae on brick or heavy tire marks on your concrete, our team can evaluate the surfaces and recommend the right cleaning approach for your property.
